just some recent updates.

other than sch, which by now most of u know isn't as easy as it seems(cos for most of u, uni has started.), here are some of the non-mundane stuff.

on National Day, Singapore's one that is. 9 August 2009, i joined a run called city2surf sydney, an annual large scale major event in syd. i signed up last sem, and paid for the marathon thinking it would be a normal one. it turned out, to be... a normal one. haha! except for the fact that it broke the world's record of being the largest scale for that yr with most runners! a wholly 75000 ppl!

check out my goosebumps! it was like 5 degrees C and i only wore a t-shirt with fbts.
so it was, a run, which i signed up under a grp called, Sg Nat Day run team. so for once, i represented sg in a sport event overseas! Go team Singapore! haha. anyway. amongst those cam-whoring of the beautiful beaches and scenery along the way( from start point hyde park to end point, bondi beach. 14 km in total). it was really relaxing and entertaining to see the bands along the way and some nonsense ppl doing their nonsense stuff.

so i completed the run in 1.38hrs. slow but considered good since i've not been running, and was taking pics and vids of everything as i ran. i mean, afterall, it's my first run overseas. wanted to join the harbour bridge run in sept. 42 scenic marathon. but guess wad. it's 200 dollars. that just turned me off.

anway, we had a little celeb at our place as we streamed NDP live from our laptop and plugged it in to the tv. luckily never lag. so 19 ppl squeeze in my small and humble living room, and we cheered and screamed and sang along with all the nostalgia. ppl brought flags and i held on to one throughout the whole thing, waving non-stop.

something funny: we were all so excited wacthing channel 5 on aussie tv. and even the commercials were so good. guess we are all so home sick!

so, laksa was prepared and we had a great night, though its the first time i din watch ndp in sg. cos usually i kill to get tics to watch it live, or at least in the comfort of my home. for many, they say they've never been so patriotic before. haha. as for me, i've always been so patriotic, seriously.

ok. then some sch stuff. i was with pigs last week, and this week cattle. so handling piglets, so cute! and restraining the super strong holstien dairies or milking them. so fun. next week sheep, then poultry and fish. for bio, i dissected locust, squid, bivalve (a kind of clam... or ...si harm~ lol), and next week rats!

also, Wicked the musical is finally coming to sydney! so critically acclaimed winning so many awards, and i will watch it! a must! it wont go to sg and since i'm here... hahah! i always sigh when i see the large banner saying "broadway coming to you as close as melbourne" and i would think wad the.... i mean sydney has more ppl and the opera house for crying out loud! and after giving up sighing for the whole of last sem, they suddenly announced that they decided to close melb on nat day! then move to syd next month! i heard the london cast was better though. well, i'd have to make do with the aussie cast. closest i can get to. at least i get to watch wicked! but sadly it's not at opera house but capitol theatre. y?! nvm, i will still try to catch smth at the opera house. haha!

sze's coming later from melb so meeting her for dinner! and musuem later! buffet! tuts... reports...

mom's coming! quick! can't wait to see her though i'd expect withdrawal symptoms again...

ok update again next time.

take care and tok to me! rmb i do love u all!
